There are two ways to save a pet's microchip number on the the pet record.
1. You can add/save a microchip number and vendor when you add or edit a pet directly on Adopt a Pet, at the bottom of the add pet or edit pet page. It looks like this:
2. You can add/save microchip info when clicking the "Mark Adopted" button from your My Pet List, or the "Add Adopter" button from your "My Adopted Pets" list.

Searching for a microchip
After a microchip number is saved, to search across all pet lists (i.e. available My Pet List, adopted, hidden) use the Microchip Search at www.adoptapet.com/shelter/pet-reports/microchip_search_form
You can also use the Search by Microchip #:
box at the top of each pet lists. Keep in mind that you must search from the top of the correct list because if you search from your My Pet List, it will not search pets on your Adopted Pet List.
