How do adopters claim their results?
Adopters use the QR code on the printed adoption report and will also receive email reminders to claim the report online using the QR code.
We recommend you encourage the adopter to claim their report and walk them through the steps as part of the adoption process.
Why does the shelter need to have the adopter opt-in to emails?
Wisdom Panel™ will send email reminders to the adopter to claim their pet online after adoption. Adopters can claim their online reports for their pet as soon as they are the legal owners of their dog. However, if they forget, Wisdom will send a prompt to claim their pet online within 3 weeks of adoption, but they still need their QR code to do so.
Who gives adopters a copy of the pet’s adoption report?
The shelter provides this at time of adoption, so that the new pet parent can claim their pet’s free online Wisdom Panel™ report.
The adopter’s QR code doesn’t work, what do we do?
The QR code will not work if the pet has already been claimed, or if the adopter waited over 12 months to claim their report, as the QR code expires. The shelter coordinator should contact Wisdom Panel for troubleshooting.

No, it is free for adopters to claim their online Wisdom Panel™ Breed Discovery report using the QR code on their adoption report.
Do adopters have to resubmit a sample of their pet if they want to upgrade to Wisdom Panel™ Premium?
No, an upgrade can be requested from within their Wisdom Panel™ account, and no additional sample is needed.
Does it cost more to upgrade from their Wisdom Panel™ Breed Discovery report to Wisdom Panel™ Premium?
Yes. Upgrading is optional, and cost and steps to upgrade can be found within the adopter’s Wisdom Panel™ account.
