How the public can share your pets on social media

Here are instructions you can share with your supporters, so they can share your pets on their social media to help them get seen and adopted:

Here's how to easily share our adoptable pets from Adopt a Pet on your social media:

1. Go to https://www.adoptapet.com/animal-shelters
2. Type our zip code 12345 in the location field; click "Get Started"
3. In the search results, click on our shelter/rescue name

Now you're our shelter/rescue landing page with all our pets. Click on any pet's photo and...

For Facebook, Twitter (X), Pinterest, or Email sharing:

 - Click on any icon next to My Story and follow the prompts

For Instagram:

- Right click to save the pet's photo to your device
- Add the pet photo to your story or feed.
- In the caption, your can copy and paste the link to the shelter's landing page URL or the pet's direct URL, or type something like "Adopt Fluffy from XYZ rescue: Go to www.AdoptaPet.com and search using zip code 12345."
