The website Adopt-a-Pet.com is a listing service used by 15,500 shelters and rescues across North America to promote their pets for adoption to potential adopters. We are not a shelter or rescue ourselves. We can not answer questions about the pets listed on our site. If you are interested in a pet you see, please contact the shelter and rescue directly:
3. Read the pet's description/story. Sometimes instructions for contacting the foster, rescue, or shelter are explained in the pet's story.
4. Scroll down to read that pet's Adoption Process. Each shelter or rescue has a different process. Some will have you visit their shelter during open hours, others may request you fill out an application even before you ask any questions, so they can better answer you.
5. If you still need to ask a question about the pet, click the Ask About Me button. If it looks like this green button below, a form will open up so you email them a message:
